wrote this for school - Mary's POV

Before I met the family, I was completely alone. I had run away from my father because he was abusive; my mother and sister had died from the influenza. I am only 18 but I need to find a wagon to go with. I'm sitting on a small log; beside me is a large oak tree. The wind is blowing strongly and I can smell dust. Up ahead, I see a wagon coming towards me with dust blowing up the trail. I stand up, waiting to see if there is any way for me to go along with them; if not, I will just wait for another wagon to come along or start out on my own.

The wagon has come up to me and stopped. A man jumps down, and a little lady is sitting up at the front of the wagon. "Are you okay ma'am?" he asks. "I am hoping to go along with a family and kids; I am all alone and need to be with somebody instead of on my own. If I can't go with you, I will wait for the next wagon to come along or start out on my own" I replied. He looked at his wife and she nods her head, although I can sense that he truly doesn't want me along. He says "Yes you can come along and help tend to the the children. But I warn you now, we don't have much food but we will do what we can to help." I smile warmly and gather my things, going towards the wagon with hopes that things will get better for me.

Everybody

Everybody wants to be a somebody
Everybody wants to make that difference
Be a help in every way they can

Everybody wants to feel loved
Everybody wants to love somebody
Wants to be there in every way they can

Everybody wants their dreams to come true
Everybody wants to dream higher
Wants those dreams so that they can hope

When that difference is made
And the help is done
When everybody's loved
And been there for somebody

And those dreams have come true
Bringing the hope that the cycle will continue

Turn to God in Times of Trials

Life is good,
but also trying.
It hurts us along the way,
as we have to make the right choices.
Sometimes we are torn in two,
wanting to go one way
or the other.
We've got to remember to turn to God,
even though it might be the hardest thing we've ever done.
It was once said "In the presence of the Lord is fulness of joy"
so we have to stay in His presence,
in order to have the strength and joy
that is needed in these last days.

Struggles

Sometimes the things that need done in life hurt.
Not only does it hurt yourself,
But those involved also get hurt.
You've got to rely on God in these times,
Because if not you'll give in to the things that are wrong.

Stars and Love

I wished upon a falling star
In hope of catching my lost love

With the pen on the paper

turning your thoughts into letters

Good

Life

part 3 chapter 1

Chastina's point of view
I gasped when Stephan got hit, then whispered to him "Please Stephan, don't make this worse." He rubbed my arm, reassuring me that he wouldn't do something stupid like that again. Even though he had a big mouth, I was still glad he was my brother. Then I seen Chuck turn towards Robert and ask "Boy, what's your name?" Robert gave me a quick glance then answered "Jake, this is my brother Josh and my sis's name is Jalynn." Then Ben asked Chuck if he wanted him to take us to room 4J7. Chuck shrugged and turned to a lady saying "Shaquela, take the girl to room 4J8." Ben agreed and said he'd take Jake to 4J9 and Josh to 4J7. I believed by the looks of things that Chuck and Rae were married, and then the other two's names are Ben and Shaquela.

After I got to room 4J8, I asked "Ma'am, our parents are Joshalynn and Judas, as you can see the names of us are all starting with j's. Who are you really looking for?" She glared at me, "girl you must not realize this but we already know your real names. But anyway, the people we are looking for are Crystal and Bob Pearson. What happened to them?" I shrugged, "I don't know who you're talking about Shaquela." She took a step closer and smacked me, then yelled "You will call me ma'am, not Shaquela! And stop with your lying girl, it will only lead to trouble." I nodded, but I was starting to feel dizzy because when she slapped me my head jerked back and smacked off of the wall. I closed my eyes but it was too late; everything went black.

part 2 of chapter 1

Robert's point of view
I felt somebody picking me up and sitting me on a wooden floor. A guy jerked the blind fold off of my eyes, glaring at me. "Boy, where are your parents?" he asked. I didn't say anything, not wanting to give him an answer. "Chuck, settle down. The boy doesn't understand what's going on yet!" a lady who looked quite rough said. "Shut up Rae, don't tell me what to do!" the man, who I now knew as Chuck, hollered. Looking over, I saw Chastina standing beside Stephan as if she was about to faint. I had a horrible feeling this had to do with when our biological father threw a few members of the gang Lions in prison. "It's none of your business where his parents are, you fat jerk!" Stephan yelled at him. I nudged him to shut him up, but another man already slapped him across his face. "Ben! You best not be hurting him or you'll wind up in big trouble." So this guy's name is Ben, I better be remembering their names so that IF we wind up home, we can tell the police all the details.

Captured! part 1 of chapter 1

Sitting on the picnic table, Chastina Marie Pearson ate an apple. Her twin brother, Robert Pearson, was on the tire swing. The twins have been adopted by Rose and Peter Coovan who have two sons, Stephan and George, Stephan being the eldest and the youngest being George.

Chastina, being the type of person who loves people, jumped off of the picnic table when Stephan came up to Robert. "Hey, Rob, George and I are having a bike race. Do you two want to join?" Chastina and Robert shared a look, knowing that Chastina was good on a bike and would win. They hopped on their bikes with ease, grinning. "On the count of 3! One, two, three!" and they were off, first around the corner and then straight for a little while until they made a sharp right, going into the park.

About five minutes later, George calls out "I have a flat, you all go on and I'll just go back." So we all continued untill we realized that each one of our bikes had flat tires, which was quite strange. Before we knew it, a few men came around us and knocked us over, tying our hands and feet together.

TWISTER

In the distance, she could see the cloud twisting down to the earth. Panicked, she got in her car and took off down the old dirt road. Having only seen a twister once in her twenty-three years, it had left it's mark after taking her mother and father; she knew to get somewhere safe but in this wide open area, she had to go somewhere and fast. Because she didn't know anybody in this area, she just drove in the opposite direction of the tunneling cloud as fast as she could safely go. With no cars in front of her and the cloud behind her, she was able to push the peddle down to the floor but the old 1965 Mustang did not want to go as fast as she was hoping for. The tunnel was catching up with her and she had nowhere to go. With the sound of it, sounding as a train horn right in her ears, it was close; too close. She closed her eyes for just a second but when she opened them, things were twirling around her, and she knew 'this was it'. With a sudden sharp pain in her head, everything went black.

God's love upon my knees.

Whenever I go down, upon my knees,
I can feel your love surround me.
I feel peace, I feel joy.

because He helps me, whenever I am down.
Now whenever I say down, I mean down upon my knees;

God, I can tell everyone, that you'll love them
the way you love me when I'm down on my knees.
It's where I felt your love surround me,
where I felt peace and joy and knew, that no matter what,
you still love me. God, I can tell everyone about your love.
