There's been a curse put out
upon all who's loved
they can't deny the love
whether they want it or not
the love awakens them from sleep
causing tears of pain and joy
until a child has been brought forth
to the couple in love
showering them with blessings of happiness
the curse can't be broke
not even with a kiss
but it dwells in them even through death

The Trees
Today I am looking out at the world around me; it seems very calm, except for a breeze that I feel come across my face once in awhile. The breeze comes from the right of me so I turn to see if anything is blowing around; I see the breeze in the trees.
The trees are so bare, it seems as if they are dead. I know they are not, they are just dormant for the winter season. I know that there is life there in the tree. You can see ants hurrying along up and down the trunk to find food to store. The ants sure keep busy all year around. They are preparing for the winter season, so they will have food to eat and keep from from starving.
The branches come to life with the gentle breeze, blowing around. A Cardinal flies down on a branch; it is a male, I can tell for it's color is all red. He sings a little then flies off. I hear in the distance the mate for she sings back a reply. The neighbors have bird-feeders in their tree branches that keep food for the birds. It gets quite crowded at times. They fight over the food sometimes, all for their own.
The squirrels run up and down, chasing each other on the trees; they go from one tree to the next. It is funny, I laugh a little at the sigh and one of the squirrels almost missed the branch. It is so neat to watch the squirrel with a nut; it holds it in it's paws so carefully, nibbling away at it. The squirrel runs off, it went looking for more nuts. I do believe that they are taking the nuts to a hidden place, preparing for the cold winter although it is already December. I believe they are still finding food to hide.
The Stream
The stream that I came to just now, it is flowing smoothly. I have seen it rough and overflowing from the rains that came for days. The stream is lovely, curving around the huge rocks; it makes ripples of white flow gently. The sound is peaceful and calming. The ducks come sometimes and swim around, ducking their heads; it is funny to see their feet stick up and their heads disappear. They quack at each other if they get too far apart; I guess one gets scared if they can at that; maybe they feel no fear, I don't know.
Once I saw fish swimming in the stream, they were so calm while floating under the water. They were spawning last spring, so many of them with the water splashing about; I was wondering what in the world was going on? My dad told me they were spawning. I hope to see it again next spring.
Oh look at the sight, it's a turtle climbing the back. It's a snapper dad said "Stay away from it". It's huge, oh no the neighbor's dog is coming; it sees the turtle and starts barking. The dog wants to play but soon gets tired of it and runs off. It is so exciting to watch!
The Winter
It's snowing outside today. I love the snow! It's just covering the grass, not very much snow but just enough to be beautiful. It hangs off the branches of the pine trees in a most spectacular way. The sun glistens off of the snow in a way that makes the snow almost seem magical.
The air is very crisp since it is winter. The cold air blows across my face and it also causes snow from off of the trees and rooftops to blow through the air like little fairies. I love the cold feeling of winter, it puts a smile on my face and has a tendency to make me hyper. I like the heat in summer also but there is nothing quite like winter with the cold air and the twinkling stars in the sky casting a bluish tint on the snow.
The Sun
Although it is still winter, the sun is shining today. The little bit of snow we did have has melted. That doesn't make me very happy! Oh well, I"m sure it'll snow again before winter is over. The sunshine is very pretty; it is shining through my window since I am sitting in my chair looking outside since it is cold today. The sun makes a reddish tint onto the branches of trees and the dirt under the grass and the shore bed of the creak behind our house.
The heat of the sun isn't as warm today as it would be in the summer or spring. Because it is winter, it just melts the snow and casts a warm feeling across a person's face. The sun sometimes puts a beautiful spark in a person's eyes, lighting up brown eyes and causing green eyes to shine like a jewel.
As I sit in my chair beside the window in my bedroom, the sun is starting to go down and it is getting darker outside. Sine it is winter, it gets dark a lot earlier than in the summer. The sun is pretty, casting a yellow color across the sky causing the sunset. A cloud has covered the sun for a little while, but it left quickly because it was a small off-white cloud. In just that little bit of time, the sun is almost completely gone down. It was interesting to watch!

Dear Juliana
Dear heart,
I love you so much
although I can't yet see you
I know you are there
I hope to be the best mom for you
teaching you the Bible ways
and not the ways of this world
I can't wait to see you
and I hope I'll be able to make you smile
I want to make you happy
and raise you the proper way a mother should :)

Book Report for American History class
"Night" by Elie Wiesel
Memoirs about the Holocaust can be very graphic, as was the one I most recently read. The title of it is "Night" by Elie Wiesel, and it is his recall of his experience during the Holocaust. It is a story I would tell people to read in order to grasp an understanding of how truly horrible the Holocaust was and still affects the people who were involved in it.
Elie Wiesel wrote this telling of his experience in hopes that the Holocaust will never be repeated. He writes it thinking that not many people will accept it, but then realizes that even schools have put it in their curriculum for the children to read. He tells it using a made up character, but uses that character to show of his own loss of faith and how he lost his childlike persona.
He tells about the horrors of the crematoriums. He said the stench of burning flesh was awful, and every time there was a selection it was terrifying not knowing if you or your loved one would end up being sent to burn to death. If you were a strong person, you tried to hide that from the Gestapo because one man was strong and had to put his own brother into the crematorium. It truly was an awful thing to watch the weak be separated from the others and sent off toward the towers of smoke and flame.
Wiesel also told a lot about the cold weather and how they had to work in the extreme conditions of snow. He once had a sore on his foot and it just got worse and worse although he had surgery done on it because he still had to continue to work. Some people just gave up as they had to run to another camp to work, and they would end up crushed under the many people trying to hurry to their work place.
Many a times the people just had a small piece of bread as their ration and would try to hide it so the others wouldn't take it. There were times people killed somebody they seen with food so that they could take the food for themselves because they were so hungry. The people were fed soup too, but only the ones in the hospital had thick soup; the soup everybody else ate was watery. Elie said he would sleep and dream but the dreams were always about the same thing: soup.
This story was very graphic but also very interesting because it really happened to Elie Wiesel. It tells in great detail the horridness of the concentration camp, so that maybe we can do something to cause it to never be repeated. Elie wanted it to be a memorial not only to those that lived through it but to honor the ones who were killed and/or died during the Holocaust. It's a story everybody should read to truly grasp what happened during the times in the camps.

wrote for school - A Mystery Heroism
The artillery officer who had fallen in this meadow had been making groans in the teeth of the tempest of sound. These futile cries, wrenched from him by his agony, were heard only by shells, bullets. When wild-eyed Collins came running, this officer raised himself. His face contorted and blanched from the pain, he was about to utter some great beseeching cry. But suddenly his face straightened and he called: "Say, young man, give me a drink of water, will you?"
Back when Collins got the water, he found another bucket and had carried both buckets back to the men. Since he did this, he was able to stop and give the fallen officer some water. As he was giving the man water, the man's head started to drop. Collin's snatched it up, calling to him to "Drink the water man, drink it! I've got more for the lieutenants. Please, drink!" The man slowly opened his eyes again and drank some water. Collins then took off again for the other men.
As Collins ran toward the other men, he tripped over a body lying on the ground. The body had many bullet holes in him; he had died in the battle. Collins gagged at the sight of it, in his mind thinking 'this is it; this is what is going to happen to all of us'. He slowly pushed himself off the ground, standing to his feet shakily. He glanced at the body one more time before looking up toward the men he was getting the water for.
This time, instead of running, Collins walked toward the men as they shouted greetings to him. They were smiling as they seen the water buckets, but his face was solemn, having just faced death himself and seeing it on two others. "Please, give the water to us!" they cried out to him, thankful he had achieved his goal. He stepped forward and handed one bucket to one man and the other to the other man.
As they accepted the buckets, other men filled around, begging them for water. The one man gracefully agreed, getting himself a small portion and sharing the rest. The other officer was greedy, not wanting to give any water to anybody but himself. The captain hollered at him "Billie give the men some water! The buckets weren't filled just for you, now share before I put a bullet in you myself." Billie grudgingly gave up the rest of the water to the men.
After that, the men's strength began to return and their hope along with it. They would yet win this war, they thought to themselves. But in Collins mind, he wasn't so sure about winning. He just sat there, not saying a word as he recounted the things that had just taken place.
